Originally from Eugene, OR, Paige received her bachelor’s degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Oregon, where she studied with Pius Cheung and Sean Wagoner. At UO, Paige played snare drum in the OMB drumline for four years, and was the first female center snare in the band’s history. She then moved to Florida, where she earned her master’s degree from the University of Central Florida, studying with Jeff Moore, Thad Anderson, and Kirk Gay. During her masters, she taught and arranged for the UCF drumline, and was a parade drummer at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. After graduating, she stayed in Orlando, continuing to teach the UCF drumline as well as performing locally, until returning to school for her terminal degree. Paige is currently pursuing her doctorate in percussion at the University of Michigan, where she is diving deeper into a wide variety of music, including chamber music, solo repertoire, steel pan research, and gamelan.
