René Ormae-Jarmer has a long history of producing and teaching music in the Portland metropolitan area. As the principle songwriter/keyboardist and sometimes drummer for the established piano-pop-rock NW Indie band, Here Comes Everybody, she has been actively performing since 1985. René has recorded countless albums with HCE and toured the West Coast, and performed with local/national artists With a music degree in percussion performance from Lewis and Clark College (1992), René is an established and sought after private drum & piano instructor in the Portland Metro area for the past 30+ years. René is the director of the award-winning Rex Putnam HS KINGSMEN THUNDER Percussion and a marching percussion specialist and consultant. René is a Vic Firth Educator, and regularly performs in musical theatre pit orchestras, recording projects, and many live performances with various bands and artists in the Northwest. She lives in Milwaukie, OR with her drummer/writer husband Michael, drummer son Emerson, and two dogs (Tana and Ruby).
